Expereince Very Important to Democrats?

The same people who touted the Clintons, think experience matters. Experience I guess only matters now when it comes to the second in line for President, not the President. Being Governor of Arkansas when it was one of least educated, poorest, unhealthiest states in the union but has crack heads is experience but being Governor of Alaska is not. There is no reality in Alaska because it has no "crack heads" according to Sean Combs. I will start calling him P Diddy when I start going by P Lo. I will not stray from my topic to go over the absurdity of that. Next they said being the wife of a President is experience enough to be a United States Senator. I know this comparison has been made before but honestly would you trust a heart surgeon's spouse to perform a triple bypass solely because during pillow talk they discussed surgery? The Democrats like to say Palin was only mayor of a small town but since we call her governor there is obviously more to her experience thatn that, while Obama has been running for President she has actually been running a state. But I guess this comes from the same guy who thinks singing up for the Selective Service is the same as joining the armed forces. Now I am not saying experience is the only thing that matters, because especially when it comes to political office sometimes experience creates the opposite affect, you may start off wanting to change the world and end up hiding thousands of dollars in your freezer. But when the Democrats can not shut up about Palin not being experienced but when it comes to Obama, it is off the table it either matters or it does not. I know the Democrats will say the same thing to Republicans but I would have to say Palin has more diverse experience, more commanding experience, than Obama, so if you want a resume contest, bring it on.

Palin, What a Great Pick

I am so excited over the GOP vice presidential candidate. Even though it has been four days since the announcement, I am still ecstatic. Although I am a John McCain supporter I did not vote for him in the primaries, mostly out of ignorance. The more I learn about him, the more I like him. I have to say his stand on immigration in the past still upsets me but I know that most politicians are out of touch when it comes to the cost of illegal immigration on our communities, schools, etc.. Honestly besides that he seems to be a lot more conservative than I had thought. Just because you do not stand with the Republican Party in all cases does not mean you are not a conservative, I would rather have a true conservative than a true Republican. To get back to the Palin pick, she is practically everything I hoped for. Also I was so worried it was going to be Romney, that basically anybody but him was a definite plus. I am fervently pro-life and to hear that sad about Palin thrills me. Between Obama saying he does not know when life begins, and Pelosi acting as though you can be a staunch Catholic and also pro-choice, it is so refreshing to have a leader who is not afraid to say when life begins, and also walked the walk when it comes to life. Abortion is one of those issues that I believe is about more than just a procedure it is the way you perceive the importance of all life. It is frightening f
for me to hear about all the down syndrome babies now being aborted. You hear all the time "keep your hands off my body" well that is all fine and good, but I think having government subsidized killing is much worse than government sanctioning the protecting and upholding of life. In Oregon now if you are under state medical insurance they will not pay for your cancer treatment if you only have a few years left to live, however they will pay for you to kill yourself. How is abortion any different? They will pay for you to abort your child but they will not help you to raise said child, is that so far off? Once you start toying with the idea some lives are worth protecting and saving others are not, you may turn around and have someone thinking that about you or someone you love. Obama voted not to require doctors to save a child that lives despite a botched abortion. So that baby although alive but not wanted by its mother is not worth saving. Sadly there are many children not "wanted" by their parents, however luckily there are many people that want nothing more than a child. To have both the presidential nominee and the vice presidential nominee to be so clear on this issue is definitely going to bring the party together and get people excited again. There is more to both of them than their pro-life stance which I will discuss further later but right now I am so glad McCain did not give in to those who do not believe all life is sacred.
